Remembering their second album, Infest (2000), Papa Roach will wreak havoc LIVE in concert with some of their most enduring records and fan-faves, from multi-platinum singles “Scars” and “Last Resort” to the Grammy-nominated “Broken Home.” By their side is Rise Against, riotously celebrated in the punk world for such hardcore hits as “Swing Life Away” and “Prayer of the Refugee,” also coming off the heels of their tenth studio album, Ricochet (2025). Once in a blue moon, torch-bearing legends and icons of American rock join forces to show us that the power remains within their electrified chords. Here they come. Live Nation brings the “RISE OF THE ROACH” Tour at the Skyla Credit Union Amphitheatre of Charlotte, NC, on October 3, 2025, headlined by American rock groundbreakers Papa Roach & Rise Against. RA’s Tim McIlrath declared the joint trek “the best damn tour of 2025” while also hyping the participation of their old friends, Underoath, as their designated opening act in a press statement last year. Soon, after nearly completing the thirty-city rampage through North America, our legendary bands will push the energy to the brink of eruption on one of their last shows commemorating TWENTY-FIVE YEARS IN ROCK.
You know who they are. Four-piece outfit Papa Roach signed their signature on the aughts’ alternative rock soundscape with heavy nu-metal hooks and unquenchable power. Their contributions to this historic occasion center around alt-rock standards “Between Angels and Insects,” the Grammy-nominated “Broken Home,” and number-one single “Last Resort” from 2000’s four-time Platinum capstone — the INFEST LP. “We are truly blessed to be able to put this show in front of fans,” said founding frontman Jacob Shaddix, eventually unveiling MORE iconic hits LIVE in concert, such as US Mainstream Rock chart-toppers “Even If It Kills Me,” “Kill the Noise,” and “Born for Greatness.”
At the other end, punk-rock legends from Chicago dive into the chaos and cacophony calling out their name — Rise Against! Since 1999, these multi-platinum misfits have been sweeping through crowds from the underground to mainstream MTV with a hardcore, melodic bent for furiously rapid tempos and scathing socio-political commentary. What they throw in the mix includes Gold and Platinum staples “Re-Education (Through Labor),” “Swing Life Away,” “Savior,” “Prayer of the Refugee,” and headbanging standouts from a string of US Top 10 albums (Appeal to Reason, Endgame, etc.). Opening support comes from Underoath of Florida’s metalcore circuit, renowned for the supercharged hits “Writing on the Walls,” “All The Love Is Gone,” and “Reinventing Your Exit.”
The SCUA, accessible via downtown Charlotte and UNC, takes up hosting duties for the gig. A top-marked outdoor venue for concerts, it boasts a clean, open layout with perfect sightlines of its stage, fully decked with industry-leading acoustics and production features.
